Makaha Mango Scones

- 1/3 cup buttermilk
- 1 egg
- 3 cups flour
- 4 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 8 tablespoons cold butter
- 1 cup diced Makaha Mangoes
- 1/2 cup sugar
- Beat egg with buttermilk and set aside. Stir together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Cut in butter until granular. Stir in sugar and Makaha Mangoes. Stir in buttermilk mixture with a fork until a soft dough forms. Turn out dough onto a lightly floured surface and knead 5 times. Separate dough into 8 equal pieces and press into individual spaces of scone pan (or shape and place on cookie sheet). Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes or until medium brown. Cool.
