Hawaii's Share Your Table

The event, which took place in the DOM Showroom of Beverly Hills, was a great success.  Chef Jon Matsubara of The Royal Hawaiian’s Azure was a highlight of the evening.  He prepared three varieties of sustainable Hawaiian fish – Opah Poke with limu and kukui, Monchong steamed in a chile-tea broth and kiawe smoked Aku with pineapple carpaccio. 

Other highlights included music by Daniel Ho, one of Hawai‘i’s best-loved musicians, Maui's Ocean Vodka, the lesser known local beer – Primo and of course Katie Chin!  Katie prepared Tropical Chicken Lettuce Cups for the occasion, combining Hawaiian cuisine with a Chinese pupu standard.  Check out the recipe here at SYT!
